The reason her hair is coming out is because of the perm. When her hair was natural, yes it may have been coarse but it was just what she was created with. One important thing we need is patience. The patience to allow the perm to grow out and the patience to find the right product to come her hair. Try using wide tooth comes, a rubber or wood bristle brush, use a detangler (for kids), use a softening conditioner like pantene ( it makes easy comb through). Give your baby hot oil treatments with virgin olive oil. After washing "warm" some in the microwave (not boiling), comb through hair and let sit for a while then rinse with warm water and at a leave in conditioner. No panic, its just the perm that has it falling out.

: My daughter is 9 yrs. old. Last year, I had
: her hair permed because I couldn't manage
: it. Her hair was very thick and coarse. I
: found myself brushing and combing
: excessively until it starting breaking off.
: I need some advice on how to care for her
: hair. Any suggestions on products? I would
: love to let the perm grow out.
