My advice would be to go to African-American dermatologist for professional treatment. That spot sounds like a form of alopecia that may or may not be reversible. Once you know what your medical problem is you can take it from there. Pressing or braiding it may not be wise as the burning and pulling will only futher damage your already damaged hair. There are some really nice wigs out there and eat lots of vegetables. But first and foremost, see a dermatologist, preferable black.
: Please help me!!
: I cut all my hair off (bald) over a year ago
: b/c it was so damaged, I thought if I didn't
: perm it and just wore it natural it would be
: ok. It's not. It's still very damaged.
: Sometimes I press it or braid it. It's also
: uneven and there is this spot in the middle
: that won't grow-hasn't grown in years. I
: shampoo and condition my hair, and grease my
: scalp every week and it still looks like
: crap. What can I do to make my hair long and
: healthy like it was when I was a child?
: What can I do for that spot that won't grow?
: What kind of hairstyles would be good for
: my hair?
: Please someone help me!!
