Posted by TM I grew up with different permed hair styles and when the 6-8 weeks came to retouch I did it religiously. Natural hair is less expensive but get the right products for you. When it was time for a perm I thought my hair was nappy (brainwashed). But when I went natural my hair is soft and curly. None of the kinky stuff that I thought I had. Perms destroy the real texture. I am teaching my niece that natural hair is beatiful hair kinky, straight, or otherwise. Good luck to you in getting your hair to cooperate.

I cut my hair and it was the most liberating thing I ever did. I just did it. Do not care what others think because the only skin that counts is your own. Some people like my hair, some don't but I LOVE it and that is all that matters. I see other people that have gone natural and see many beautiful hairfoos. Seeing others go natural is like a secret bond that you have with that person because they are defying what society calls beautiful (long, straight, blond).
