i know you are nervous, but you need not be. i tried for the last three to four years and lost my nerve because i was worried what people would say. I just had my hair cut down to less than an inch. now i am using carols daughter products and basking in the glory of my all-natural hair. i went to a natural hair salon, turning heads in nyc, to do the cut. My advice to you is seek the expertise of several natural hair experts before you make the leap. if you are not ready, you are just not ready. everyone in my family loves my cut. they feel it fits my face and it makes me look younger. it is good to know they feel this way, but to be perfectly honest i feel i look absolutely fabulous and that makes all the difference. i am allergic to synthetic hair, so I couldn't wear braids to grow out my hair, i don't care for weaves, i don't want to wear a wig, so i had no other choice, but to face the music and do the deed. i am loving being all natural because the transitions are affecting your texture anyhow. you will never know how your natural hair will be until it is allowed to breathe and to grow freely.
