I have just gone natural (2 months ago) after the Big Chop. I live in a community with vast amounts of salons treating natural & relaxed hair. Yet the most useful information I have found in taking care of natural hair is online.
Youtube.com - Youtube has an expansive natural hair community in which they talk about hair care & natural hair care in society. Many of these people DO NOT go to a salon to manage their hair but know how to care for it properly & without chemicals. Here are the links to two videos that helped me immensely:
