Posted by Chris J. on October 11, 2004, 6:54 pm I live in a somewhat rural area of York County, PA and have already been told by several DSL companies that DSL internet service is not available on my line. I would like to have a phone line installed at a remote location where DSL is available and use microwave back haul equipment to extend the data connection back to my location. I can get a T1 brought out but cant afford the monthly recurring cost. DirectWay and other satellite solutions are not practical due to my uplink bandwidth requirements. Is there a list or database available that would tell me where the central offices are and the areas they serve? Or maybe a list by exchange number that would tell me which offices have DSL equipment installed. Any help would be greatly appreciated, Chris J.
How can I find out which central offices in my area have DSL?
