Hi! I have undertaken rather a hefty responsibility. I am writing the first-ever collector's guide to Princess Grace/Mego's Maddie Mod! That doll had more outfits than you can shake a stick at. The book is being held up for want of several outfits I just can't find. Here's what I am missing:
1967 - Two outfits, stock numbers 1702 and 1715 (stock numbers can be found on the back of the box in the "white" frame, centred on the bottom - the numbers apppear to have been stamped on in red ink and fade easily, plus they are sometimes hard to read).
1972 - Fast Set (#2717), Lib & Learn (Pink version, #2723), Go-Go Gingham (#2725). I would really like to see these outfit NRFB so I know exactly what I am looking for - these are the only outfits from 1972 I can't find at all (I actually have the dress for Go-Go Gingham and the white version of Lib & Learn).
1973 - Just about everything. These are rare and just never seem to surface. I have managed to acquire a small handful of these - please ask about what's missing. This collection can actually be seen on the Mego Museum website.
1974 - Same as 1973, though the collection is smaller for this year and with many repeats from 1973, the collection is easier to complete. Names as follows: Lovely Lady (#2229), Splash Party (#2228), Irish Eyes (#2226), Pantastic (#2233), Fun Fur (#2231), Love Story (#2237), Sweet Dreams (#2235).
1975 - There are 17 outfits from this collection - I have 11 of them. I am missing #2262, #2302, #2268, #2261, #2257 and #2260 (no outfit names this year).
If anyone needs assistance from me in order to identify packaging or outfits, just let me know. This is taking too long to complete on my own and I need help! Thanks!
PS - book will also include Betsy Teen and Uneeda's Dollikin, since Mego produced Dollikin's boxed lines of clothing, plus various Maddie Mod knock-offs (yes, there were such things!).
