Putty keeps the eyes in place and allows the collectors to move the position of them or change them out, as opposed to the permanent alternative of gluing them in.

At least that is how it is with the Asian BJDs. As Clea will now be resin, too, now, I'm excited that she will have glass/acrylic inset eyes.

Maybe B&B can tell us: are the acrylic eyes going to be interchangeable??

But I believe I read somewhere that B&B are planning on making some painted eye dolls, too.
