Posted by Sasha I really appreciate your input as I have not been able to find anything on preganancy and EDS III or hypermobility. --Previous Message-- Link: http:// www.goodfuryou.com

Thank you so much for your input! I will be speaking with my GP this month. I am trying to get into shape, but its hard to go to the gym when you are hurting..shrug..so I try and go on the pain free days.
I will keep you up to date
: Hi my name is Tanja I am 24 and I have
: EDS III too, I just had a baby 19
: months ago, and was actually
: diagnosed with EDS 10 days before I
: gave birth.
: I ended up in a wheelchair 2 months
: prior to giving birth. I was in a LOT
: of pain, even a car-ride was
: horrific.
: When planning Your pregnancy I will
: advice You to get in good shape, and
: be prepared to be put on bedrest. If
: Your body normally heals well, I will
: also advice You to get a ceacarian,
: so Your joints and hips wont be
: messed up, I was told that if I chose
: to give birth vaginally I would
: probably be in a wheelchair for 18
: months. And also get a lot of safety
: equipment for your home, handles,
: bathingchair, a higher toiletseat,
: stuff like that. I hope You can use
: my advice, after all I found out the
: hard way. Oh yes one more thing....No
: matter what You choose; it will be
: worth the struggle, which makes it
: even more worth while. Good luck,
: Tanja Nedergaard, Calgary, AB.
: Canada. Please write me back, I would
: love to give You all the help You
: need!
