Some of us "old-timers" remember using FC Search. A LinkedIn contact has brought to my attention the website called Foundation Search (see link). For a fee, they appear to compete with the Foundation Center. Granted, there is plenty of poor nonprofits to go around but just be aware of who these guys are. What issues might this cause us CC'ers in the trenches???

Hi Joe. Yes we are quite aware of Foundation Search. In the past they've employed some very assertive telemarketing staff who occasionally "dissed" FDO. In fact as far as we can tell it is no less expensive than FDO and we offer a lot more price points for people who can't afford the full shebang (Professional, which is what our CCs all have). And of course, unlike the Foundation Center, they do not make the database available for free use by anyone who wants it at some 420 locations around the nation.
