A few months ago a patron asked me how FS compared to FDO and I found a lively conversation on this topic in Charity Channel's archives. It provides some users' perspectives and opinions on the two. The topic was covered again recently there. Plase let me know if you want me to share it with you. Or, Charity Channel has a modest subscription fee to access its discussion boards.

Andrea, I spent 90 minutes online/phone with Metasoft having a demo of the Foundation Search database. It has some nice features but does not currently license for use publicly in libraries.
