Film Festival Funding program

I have been asked to do a presentation on funding film festivals (not individual film makers).
Is there anyone with experience in this area who can tell me if the proposal writing process is the same as for other types of organizations?
I have a really really spiffy powerpoint presentation already done  that I would love to use if there's no difference!
