Hello Marilyn,
When you are in the Types of Support index in FDO (for either the Grantmakers or Grants side of the database since each file contains slightly different types of support listed there) you will find a link to a Types of Support definitions list. From the Grants side of the database, you will find "Linked deposits (usually CDs)" defined there as:
Linked deposits (usually CDs): Funds deposited with financial institutions to induce the financial institution to finance an organization's project. By accruing no or low interest on the deposit, the grantmaker essentially subsidizes the interest that would ordinarily be owed by the organization.
