    Hello Lydia,

Colvin's book ("Fiscal Sponsorship: Six Ways to Do It Right") is definitely a great place to start!

Fiscal sponsorship does seem prevelant in the area of the arts but is not limited to that. You can look at our FAQs on Fiscal Sponsorship here (http://foundationcenter.org/getstarted/faqs/section_5c.html) and you'll notice that many of the fiscal sponsorship agreements available on the web are in the area of the arts. But again, fiscal sponsorship is also utilized in other fields.

As for training materials for teaching patrons about fiscal sponsorship, go to our "Conduct Your Own Workshops" area on CCNet (http://ccnet.fdncenter.org/trainingtools/index.html) and look for the PowerPoint presentation for the "Grantseeking Basics for Individuals in the Arts" session (specifically located here http://ccnet.fdncenter.org/trainingtools/gsbia.ppt). This training module has a smaller section within the larger course about fiscal sponsorship. To find the information on fiscal sponsorship, once you have opened this file, go to the fifth slide and make sure you are viewing it in "Notes View" (View -> Notes Page).

Thanks and I hope this helps.
