I found it very compelling. We received a 3-d tour of a library and I could see what all the buzz is about. It really is an engaging way to get people excited about organizing information in a visual way. For example, if it's a historical collection, "characters" from the past could actually guide the user through the info. It is analagous to thinking of our libraries like museum exhibits where any user might select any number of holdings to learn more about. I think I need to see more Second Life examples though to truly envision how this might impact FC or CC services. I encourage you to explore though because it is very interesting stuff! Kief will be posting Power Points from the sessions, and there is one from this session that lists web sites to explore.
