CQ Researcher (8 Dec 2006, 16:43, pp 1009-1032) is devoted to "Philanthropy in America". I stumbled upon this as I was looking for a different issue for a patron. I checked the Catalog of NP Literature; it is not listed. While this is targeted to High School reports, it can be helpful for patrons seeking an overview of the field. Highlights include:
*background history
*current situation
*future of philanthropy
*Giving USA 2006 charts
*Debate: "Are tougher philanthropy laws needed?"
*footnotes and bibliography NB: Bibliography and For More Information sections do NOT include anything from the Foundation Center. PS: Bill and Melinda are pictured on the first page but Warren doesn't show up until page 3!
