"government grant" scam

The December issue of the AARP Bulletin has a good article, "Uncle Sham wants you," about a variation on the Nigerian money scam. The article warns that people get calls offering them government grant money to repair their house, etc. -- but they have to pay a "processing fee." I've posted the article on our bulletin board -- not that I think it will stop some eager "grantees" who prefer to believe in "free money." You might want to take a look; it's the "Ask Sid" column.
