I am terribly sorry about your daughter. My daughter Reagan also has CES. What I can tell you about capillary leak syndrome is that it can be the end result of a systemic infection, like sepsis. There is essentially nothing that can be done to treat the capillary leak, per se; only the when the underlying cause, like sepsis is corrected will the capillary leak resolve. Often even that is not sucessful. My experience with capillary leak is in adult patients I have taken care of with severe infections or other causes of systemic inflammation. It sounds like the doctors who took care of your daughter did everything they could to reverse the process but were unable to do so. I admire your courage in sharing Hannah's story- God bless her.
