Hi everyone my name Jill and I had Hannah on May 15,2004. She was diagnosed with CES right before having heart surgery for her TAPVR at 4 days old. Hannah also had an imperforated anus,ear pits, renal insuff.,right eye coloboma. Her heart surgery was a success, but her recovery was a nightmare. She developed capilary leak syndrome and the doctors had NO idea how to help Hannah stop third-spacing all of her fluid. They did not think that it had anything to do with CES, but they only had one other patient with it (a long time ago). Hannah eventually died from sepsis and third-spacing on July 22,2004. So, I am asking if anyone has seen this capilary syndrome before and what was done to cure it? I know this info won't bring my beautiful baby back, but maybe I can help other families.
