Posted by April I have surgery for imperforate anus as an infact. At the time, they have to make special instruments small enough to do the surgery. I have coloboma, affectiong all the way to the optic nerve. Basically, even though I wear special contacts, with my left eye I cannot see the top letter on the chart. With my right contact, I can see about 20/60 on a good day. However, every eye doctor I have ever seen will tell you they have no idea how I can see as well as I do. I have severe asthma. I have scoliosis as well, and I am the shortest person in the family by several inches. I deal with the skin tags on the body. Finally learned to remove most of those myself as I got tired of going to the doctor for that. I am married and had no trouble with my first pregnancy, and have a healthy daughter by C-section as no one wanted to risk tearing the scar tissue from the anal surgery. Since then, I have had 5 miscarriages. We recently adopted twins from overseas. Guess that is enough info to get started.

Reading through this board, I see most of you are parents worried about raising your children. Since I have lived with this disorder for many years, I would be happy to answer any questions from 'the other side' if you will.
