I think that you have not given yourself time to check out the updated site.
The advantages are:
The adverts/messages are still listed in the same way, so no change there.
Photos can be included.
No pop-up advert pages.
You can follow the full "discussion" on an advert on one page, you do not have to go back and click again to see a reply to an advert.
The site is hosted on our servers, not someone else's who could decide to stop the service at any time.
Right now, I admit there is a little confusion because of the "old" ads, you have to go through the old ads to get to the new ones, this is out of respect to previous advertisers, we did not want to eliminate their ads posted completely by removing the page.
Eventually, the "old" page will be removed and it will be more straightforward.
