Posted by Vasta -- The World Partnership Walk is an annual event that is initiated by the Aga Khan Foundation (www.akdn.org). The object of the walk is to raise awareness and funds for sustainable development programs across the world. It takes place in ten different Canadian cities, and various other locations in other countries around the world. Every cent collected by the World Partnership Walk is put straight into the development projects. There are no administrative costs taken out of the collected funds, and every dollar collected is doubled by the Canadian International Development Agency. If you are in Canada, I strongly suggest you check out the World Partnership Walk site at www.worldpartnershipwalk.com to get involved. If not, do think about pledging a small amount of money to make a difference in people's lives. The site is completely secure, and you will be issued an official tax receipt by email almost immediately after donating. You can sponsor by going to the following website (which is also linked below): -- Thanks for all your help. Remember, I am not posting this for you to feel obliged to help, just as an information avenue for something good going on in this world. If you have any questions, please email me, I'd love to help. I know I haven't posted here in ages, but I thought this might be worth it. Now, I'm not here to solicit money or to force you into getting involved, I just want to use this post to give some information on a project that helps make a difference in the world.
