Guys!!!!!! Haven't checked this site for... probably over a year, then all of a sudden came to think of it after three hours of interviews. And there was new stuff (go figure!) and responses!!!!! So, Nico and Philip (who is no longer scary, of course) get this -- i live in hong kong now; arguably the most maddeningly intoxicating place on earth. loving it... was working as a kindergarten teacher in China for most of a year (NICO - I FINALLY GRADUATED FROM CAMBRIDGE!!!!!), then escaped my indentured servitude to seek happiness in the hong kong special administrative region of the people's republic of china, as good ol louis lee would put it. I'm working as a writer, and I've had my first stuff published!!(sure, it's not fiction. YET, but my fiction is getting there too -- and i wrote a travel guide which was mostly fictional...if that counts...). still poor as a churchmouse (living on a friend's sofa and have been for the last 3 months), but after scraping along as a freelancer (which sucks when you don't have a back-catalogue) I just got a permanent retainer-type gig in financial journalism. which i'm spicing up as i go along (been at it for ALMOST 2 weeks), and which is particularly funny as i know nothing about banks, or money or anything.
