Hook Ups?

Haven't been able to get my two computers and two printers connected and working using LinkSys' MultiShare Transmitter/Receivers. They worked fine until I had to replace my HP DeskJet 693C with an HP DeskJet 5550. Now the Lexmark E210 won't print at all on Computer A running WIN XP (the 5550 will!) and neither printer works at all with Computer B running WIN 98. I've decided to abandon the MultiShare system and just hook up the two printers to the WIN XP computer. Can this be done using USB cables from the computer (4 USB ports) to each of the USB connections on the printers?
