Posted by Dominic The pcmcia cd player will locate and install the drivers for the cd, but it will not show or assign a drive letter in my computer. I have spoken with microsoultions about the backpackCD and their tec support was unable to assist me. If I could get the pcmcia working I could use this to install wi98 and then I think my usb problem would be solved. HELP !!! thanks

Help... I purchased a 560x thinkpad mmx233. I have installed win 95 oem b version that is supposed to suport a usb(onboard) connection.... the usb device does not appear in the sys devices.... I'm tring to install win 98se and I can't get my pcmcia cd player to work (i have 5 other 560..non x model..workes great) I have installed all the updates from IBM & Microsoft and I can't get the usb to be recognized... I need to install win 98 but I don't know how this is possible without a pcmcia or a workng usb connection... do you know of any way to get a usb working in win95... Microsoft only released a working usb95support in an oem version of win95 and does not have or will they make an update patch for my 560x..
