For those who are interested, many of the bloody events of 1938-1940 are recorded in the book "Bloody Ground" by John Day.

Some of these men are some of the key figures in troubled times in Breathitt County. These events happened only 60 or 70 years ago. Thus, there are many close kinfolks who may not want to re-live the events you want to bring up.
