My father was born at Quicksand in 1912, the youngest of 9 Whitt kids. His dad, my grandfather was in some type of logging business. The story that was told to me, was that he was a overseer of some property, where the timber was cut, but due to a quarrel, that the older Whitt boys had with another family, he pulled out and left, before someone was killed. Anyone know anything about this. The Whitts were originally from Magoffin Co. My mother was a Combs from Knott Co.
