Hi Debbie,
My grandfather was named Sam Jones. He, too, was born about 1895 in Breathitt County. However, his father was Dan Green Jones. He died in the 1930s after being exposed to poisonous gases in a coal mine at Chrisopher in Perrry County. He is buried in Breathitt County.
