Joseph is the son of Absolom and Mathena
Angel. Absolom was born in 1796 in Bumcombe County, N C
and she was born in 1800(could she be
Cherokee Indian?). Lucinda was born Dec.
25, 1855 in Breathitt Co., Ky. She had 3 children which may have been Claiborne
Gilbert's. This I'm not sure of. Diana
Angel, Aug. 15, 1882, Manda Gilbert,
Feb. 1886 and Arka "Arkie" Angel. She died
Oct, 8, 1947 in Clay Co. I'm not sure
if they were married. Joseph Angel was
married 3 times and lost his 1st 2.
Catherine Gabbard, Sylviania Herald Combs and Sarah Fugates. Sylvania was my G Grandmother. My Grandmother was Jenny Angel (James Miller). I Hope this helps.
