Snowden Branch is located about two miles south of Jackson on the Old Quicksand Road (formerly Highway 15). The cemetery is located upon a hill near Snowden Branch. It is a large cemetery, but is used very little today. It is among the county's earliest graveyards. Graves date from the 1830s and probably before. Many have lost their stones and some were probably never marked.
