I am happy to find this board! I am looking for information about my father, Andrew Jackson Lewis. He was born in Jackson in 1909, son of James Thomas Lewis b 1884 and Julia Mosley. From what I have heard, James Thomas, Julia, and infant daughter Elizabeth died around 1912 due to some sort of illness that had spread through Jackson. James' brother, Calvin, found the family dead but my father AJ was in the house alone and alive. Calvin Lewis took my father in and raised him.
I never knew my father as he lived most of his life in the Veteran's Hospital in Lexington. Probably the biggest regret of my life is not having a relationship with my father. I have a photo of him when he was about 3-4 years old but would love to have a photo of him as an adult.
Also, any information about the Lewis or Mosely families would be appreciated. I have a genealogy from William O'Connell, "Dozens of Cousins." What I am looking for is stories, stories about my father and his family.
