My Grandfather John Wesley Dean died in a dynamite accident while supervising a road building project about 1928. He was called "Deacon" by friends and family so I assume he was active in the Methodist Church in Bretitt County. My information is that he was killed when he went in to see why the explosives had not gone off, not allowing any of his workers to indanger themselves. I would like to find his grave and obtain copies of any newspaper articles about his incident. My father was born in Brethett couty in 1914, his name was Theodore Roosevelt Dean, he had several sisters and brothers, I know of John and Robert but there wer several more.
We plan to vist Brethett in July.
God bless you,
Ted Dean
