I remember my Uncle Ned McIntosh used to tell me stories when I was a kid. He said he wore a gun to school everyday. I asked if he ever had to use it. He said once the deputy had it in for him and jumped him on the way to school and he had to kill the deputy. He said the sheriff came to school to question him but knew the deputy was way-laying for Ned and there would be no charges filed.
Ned was married to my father Jim’s sister, Loula. Dad’s family lived out on Stray Branch.
