My grandparents were from Breathitt County. My gr.grandmothers name was Alice Brewer. She married Wilburn Collins. Wilburn Collins worked in the coal mines according to the 1920 census. Alice died in the fall or early winter of 1916, and we have always been told that she was buried at aplace called "Ear-Keys". That was how my grandmother pronounce it. But since she was only 6 months old and her Brother was only 2 yrs.old and their father remarried very soon after she died,they never talked about her. Does anyone know if this was a town or maybe a cemetary? It is not on any map of Kentucky so maybe the town is no longer there. I would love to find this place and maybe her grave.
