Posted by Kenneth There are a number of entries on rootsweb for a Jonathan T Jones (who married Margaret Duff) that appear to be the same Jonathan T Jones listed in the previously referenced rootsweb link (where two wives - Lucinda [?] and Margaret Duff are indicated). What is interesting about these other entries for Jonathan Jones is that they list his place of birth as Lee County Virginia (26 Oct 1808), and per Victor Jones the 1870 census for Perry County indicates Jonathan Jones had been born in Lee County. If this is the Jonathan Jones who was father to my ancestors Elizabeth Jones as well as Andrew Borkin Jones by way of his wife Lucinda, the question arises about when Jonathan and Lucinda were married. Apparently Jonathan Jones married Margaret Duff in 1837, and since Andrew was having kids in the 1860s, I would assume Jonathan and Lucinda had been married before. But as the picture Victor Jones found of Lucinda Jones suggests (http://kentuckyexplorer.com/nonmembers/00-10046R.html) she was quite alive into old age, meaning she did not die before Jonathan remarried (assuming this is the correct Jonathan T Jones). This whole picture becomes more confused as Jonathan Jones (according to most of the rootsweb entries for him) died in Vernon Missouri, not Perry County Kentucky. And some of the entries list him as having kids with Margaret Duff in Missouri during the 1850s. Thank you for any help you might be able to provide in sorting this all out.
