Larry all detectors have to be viewed as a stepping stone to your next machine. Bounty Hunter is a great way to get into this hobby and will treat you to some amazing finds over time as you well know. But the Garrett Ace 250 has turned out to be the new champ for a quality machine at an affordable price. These machine are showing very impressive results in the field and no one would be disappointed in using one. Very good depth, an nice pinpoint mode, and more controlled notching system. It seems sweep speed does not have much of an impact on its ability to see into the ground. If your thinking of upgrading then this would be a good choice. Just my opinion buddy.
