Hello all! I'm fairly new to metal detectors, but from researching the net, the Pioneer 202 (Quick Draw II) and Pioneer 505 (Land Star?) "appear" to offer the best values for a newbie. I'd appreciate any comments you may have on which one to buy. Does the price/ performance of the 505 justify the nominal extra price or is the 202 sufficient, even without the "no motion all metal/manual ground trac" mode. How important is the no motion all metal/manual ground trac mode...would it make the 505 a better MD than the 202 for the beach or heavy mineralized ground like in East Texas? Thanks
