Sorry Pires, I forgot to mention
that yes, the 10" coil will indeed
give more depth than the 8" alone.
On coins about 4" to 5" deeper,
depending on how much trash metal
(iron, pull tabs, foil, etc.) is
also nearby. The bigger coil also
detects wider, so some "masking" by
trash is possible. This is true
with any detector, of course.
Also, the larger the target, the
deeper the 10" will detect it.
The ideal ground is "clean", but is
also hard to find in populated
areas. Also, be sure to use a good
set of headphones for best hearing
of targets.
