This message is to announce that my book 'Born in the Purple: The Private World of the Children of Tsar Nicholas II,' which was scheduled for publication next year has officially been cancelled.
The reasons are many, the most important, however, being that I have committed myself to other publishing and Romanov-related projects, both here and in Russia.
I would also like to note that Helen Rappaport (author of 'Last Days of the Romanovs: Tragedy at Ekaterinburg), is currently writing a new book on the four grand duchesses, while a new biography on the Tsesarevich Alexis is also in the works by another historian.
Both of these books and their respective authors have my full support, and I am committed to helping each with their research and promotion once in print.
Having said this, I am pleased to announce that beginning in 2013, and in honour of the 400th anniversary of the Romanov dynasty, Royal Russia will launch a new series of 'Collectors Editions' devoted to the Russian Imperial family and their legacy.
The first such 'Collectors Edition' will be 'OTMAA: A Photobiography'.
Scheduled for publication in the Summer of 2013, this tribute to the children of Tsar Nicholas II tells the story of the Grand Duchesses Olga, Tatiana, Maria and Anastasia, and their brother, the Tsesarevich Alexei through a rich collection of photographs.
