Steven,
Just received Royal Whore yesterday which you asked about. Started on it right away.
I am finding it a bit slow reading because so far it has been largely quotes from original 17th century sources in original 17th century language (which of course is wonderful from a documentation standpoint!) sewn together in a narrative that attempts to match the formality of the language used in court back then.
Other than that it has been very insightful into the parts of Lady Castlemaine that are usually glossed over by more stoic biographers. Her actual bawdiness seems to rival Nell Gwinn's.
I would definitely recommend it for your library.
