Perhaps not a very, very old book but I enjoyed the book by Reinout Goddyn. It is all about the love letters from Princess Charlotte to 'our' later King Léopold when he was still a Prince of Sachsen-Coburg.
Very touching and very emotional reading!
The original letters were found, damaged and the ink almost gone away and badly written in poor French and full of spelling mistakes, after our Prince Karel died.
