There are so many books out about The Queen which have been published to co-inside with the Diamond Jubilee that it took me a while to decide which one to buy. I decided upon Robert Hardman’s “Our Queen”. I have just finished reading it & I think I definitely went for the right book. There is no re-telling of The Queen early life. Instead it is about how the monarchy works today & how things have changed during The Queen’s reign. For example there is a lot of background detail about how Buckingham Palace works, how foreign tours are organised & many quotes from among other Prince William. I found out a lot of information that I did not know. I would thoroughly recommend this book to anyone interested in the British Royal Family.
