I am currently re-reading this book by Charlotte Zeepvat and I would recommend it to anyone who has often felt that this Prince has been neglected by historians and authors.
Charlotte Zeepvat has a unique style on how she presents the life of the Prince. He is shown as an an artistic and a political thinking person, who fought to make a life for himself. Going to Oxford University, creating a family of friends who respected his intelligence. He lived the life he wanted to live no matter how short it was. Of all Victoria and Albert's children I find Prince Leopold, Duke of Albany and his sister Princess Alice, Grand Duchess of Hesse the most interesting and the most unsung.
