Since the launch, last month, of the Rare Book Reading Room I have been receiving mails from booklovers who wanted to know if some books were still available or 'floating around' as one poster put it.
Have been able to trace a Luxembourg book (in French/German & English) for 1 Board friend and a special photobook about the Danish RF was to be found on the site I mentioned earlier on here and which even had more books for the searching book-addict. Another case of "happy match-making" in fact
Am curious to know if any of you have been able to trace down some books these past few weeks, although I assume Santa took care of most long-standing wishes
Special mention should be made of this book:
Louisa, Lady in Waiting.
The personal Diaries and Albums of Louisa, Lady in waiting to Queen Victoria and Queen Alexandra
by Elizabeth Longford
which was high on the list of 2 posters of these Boards, and proved to be available & in mint condition.
No sooner was 1 book dispatched or the same poster wrote and asked if there were more copies around as she wanted to send one to a friend with a birthday coming up.
I am delighted seeing how one thing leads to another and hope plenty more books will be added to your bookshelves!!
