Oh, I completely agree with Catie. You don't have to go overboard. We are inviting 50 guests. We'll be married at a historic chapel ($428) and have the reception at home (free!). Budget: $3,000, and that includes table, chair and linen rental, catered hors d'ouvre reception and open bar with a bartender. We are doing our own music with iPod playlists and have enlisted our friends to make their own playlists for us and bring their iPods with them. Ta-da!
: you've thrown lots of parties, so i know you
: undoubtedly already know this. you can have
: a wonderful blow out of a wedding for a ton
: of people without breaking the bank. people
: get into spending a lot of money on their
: wedding because they want to impress people,
: not because they want to throw a great
: party.
:
: i've got ideas if you need them.
:
: also, i so totally know about someone else's
: worries leading to self-doubt. i'm not sure
: it can be avoided, but i know that more than
: once it's lead to me thinking more
: creatively and that's always a good thing.
