black sea pie seems to be like a calzone but not as thick. the dough is brushed with olive oil and sprinkled with sesame seeds and it's braided over the stuffing so you can see what's inside in litlte holes in the dough. (the bottom is solid, the top is braided over) and it has differnet vegetable or meat fillings. the spinach feta was amazing!
the race was good even if we didn't do the whole thing . i love running along ocean view between monterey and pacific grove. we saw sea lions and pelicans and otters!
