Bob, I was a folkie in Orange County, CA, in the 60s, and was in a very small minority, being to the right of center. Although I was welcomed at open mic nights and actually got some paying gigs (anyone remember the Mon Ami and Paradox in Tustin?) I had nothing in common with the others except music. I remember one day at the student union at Cal State Fullerton where a bunch of us were jamming and I mentioned how angry I was at the students throwing water balloons at the military recruiters on campus. I got a big BOO over that one except for one guy: Tim Buckley (who had an Ivy League haircut at the time) came to my defense. Thanks, Tim (we lost you too soon), and thanks to you, Bob.
