Re: I'm still here
Looking forward to info on the book. This sort of thing is fun but challenging. A couple years ago, I was asked to write autobio type article for "All Frets" magazine. This publication was formerly known as Fretted Instrument Guild of America,F I G A. When the internet became popular those initials were easily confused with a European Porno site so...."All Frets". All Frets, these days is primarily an organization for tenor and plectrum, traditional jazz type banjo players. I play rhythm guitar with some different fairly well known groups of that type and the article was titled "Confessions of a Guitar Player in a Banjo world". My Father played the tenor banjo for a living (Eddie Collins 1912 1972). He worked pretty much around the world during his career, was given a New Vega Vox tenor banjo in 1948 to endorse the brand while touring with the Art Mooney big band (I'm looking over a 4 leaf clover). he worked with the likes of Louis Armstrong and a plethora of who's who of his day. He was inducted into the American Banjo Hall of Fame in 2017. The Kingston Trio are also inductees. Where was I before I started bragging...oh yeah, about writing. That article could have easily become an entire book once I got going with it. I can understand your challenges in the endeavor, and look forward to reading it! TC
