The Mossman is my work-horse. I use it exclusively for gigs - my D-28 that Shane gave me never goes out of the house. Nor does my Yamaha L-53 prototype. When Meri and I had our plantation shutter business in Denver I installed shutters for a customer who had this Mossman for sale. Meri knew I was drooling over it so she traded the customer part of the shutter cost for the guitar and gave it to me for Father's Day.
Bob Shane knew Stuart Mossman and he had a custom guitar built by him. It included a secret compartment in the finger board the was over-layed with an old Hawaiian coin that your could pop out to access the compartment. It was designed to hold a vial of cocaine for travel and TSA never did discover it. I guess I can divulge that now that Bob is gone. It's in the book now too.
