I think a lot about DG and JS. How did they ever think up some of the enduring banjo parts e.g. the intros to MTA or Oh Miss Mary. Simple for sure, but seemingly in retrospect perfect for the songs. As far as JS goes, I heard some interesting banjo parts here and there after his Trio days. I don't remember where, but I heard him frailing, and it was good. I also liked his banjo on Durango. I don't believe he ever frailed with the Trio. Obviously GG is in another class, but he's been playing these parts for a lot of years now.
